Popular radio personality Kwakye Asare Emmanuel (known in the media space as Asare Barima or Asa Bee) has officially joined newly-established Sompa FM, a subsidiary of the TeraONE Media Group based in Sunyani.
‘Asa Bee’ as he affectionately called, joins Sunyani-based Sompa 98.9FM as the host of the station’s flagship morning show dubbed ‘Ade Akyia Abia’ as he poised to entertain, educate and serve the much-awaited audience with the best of positive radio trademark.
He started his professional broadcasting radio career in 2016 with Sunsum 98.7 Fm and later moved to Bohye Multimedia working as a pundit and a co-host of Gye Nyame 94.5 Fm morning show which centers on the use of comics and humor in getting listeners glued to their radio sets and vividly addressing social issues that are Nemesis to the society.
In 2017, he joined Heaven 97.7 FM in Sunyani, a subsidiary under the umbrella media body of the house of power multimedia.
In almost five years of working as a morning show host, he became the finest in the morning among the rest and heaven Fm became the most sort after radio station within the Bono region and its enclaves.
With the use of comic, humour and creativity in bringing radio to the doorstep of all and sundry many hearts were won and ardent listeners were established on board.
