The ‘takeover’ of the arts/entertainment industry by the fast-rising Creative Arts Company, Zylofon Media, is gradually taking shape – as the Company added to its growing list of acquisitions, new Accra-based Zylofon 102.1FM has officially unveiled its logo.
The Company has bought the frequency 102.1, formerly Radio 360, which was reported to belong to businessman, Roland Agambire, The CEO of RLG. Test transmission has already started in earnest, ahead of its full roll out soon.
A team of experienced heads are being recruited to lead Zylofon official entry in the radio industry in the capital. Close source information also has it that the head of communications at Zylofon Media, Samuel Atoubi Baah popularly known as Sammy Flex may be on his way out of Atinka Media Group and is set to joining the Zylofon owned Accra-based radio station.
Zylofon Media is also in the process of acquiring a television station after operations of the radio station commence. The Company has signed musicians a lot of creative Arts personalities like Stonebwoy, Becca, Joyce Blessings, Obibini, Bibi Bright, Zynell Zuh, Benedicta Gafah, James Gardiner, others. Added to their credit, there’s also the “Ghana Arts Club”, which is under the direction of Willie Roi, Eddie Nartey and Joshua.
Zylofone Media is looking forward to opening a sister radio station in the Garden City (Kumasi) any moment from now as well as Tamale in the Northern Region.
