The astute sports journalist is on his way to the Manhyia based radio station in the Garden City, www.mediafillasgh.com can confirm.
Newly-established radio station, Opemsuo FM have acquired award-winning broadcaster Kwaku Ahenkorah to head its Sports department.
He took to his twitter page to confirm the move.
As I pick up the gauntlet of leading the Sports Department of @Opensuofm,I cant help but express my gratitude for the opportunity to serve Asanteman once again. I pray the Almighty grants me divine favour and guidance on this journey.
Ahenkorah popularly known in the media as ‘Amanone’ with his excellent delivery of news presentation will officially commence work next month.
With over fifteen years of experience in the media landscape, he previously worked for Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko as Director of Communications.
Ahenkorah has formerly worked with several radio stations: Sekyere FM, Ashh FM, Fox FM, Boss FM, Sikka FM, Kessben FM, Adehyee FM and Kumasi FM all in the Ashanti Region. He also had a short stint with Accra-based Hot FM, a subsidiary of F-Giant Broadcasting Company.
Opemsuo Radio started operations in the Ashanti Region earlier this year and have already poached key broadcast journalists to steer affairs.
According to Kickgh.com, Opemsuo FM is the official radio station of Ashanti Kingdom led by Asante Kotoko’s life patron Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. Opemsuo FM will be one of Asante Kotoko’s official mouthpieces after the club’s official website, Newspaper and App.
Opemsuo FM operates on the frequency 104.7 in Kumasi and its environs.
