Ownership of Kumasi-based satellite television station ONEHD TV has changed hands, mediafillasgh.com can exclusively reveal.
The only High Definition (HD) television station in Ghana, which started operation on Multi TV some years ago, has been acquired by the Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN), the fatest growing media group story headed by Businessman, Dr. Kwaku Oteng.
The newly acquired property which falls under its Angel Broadcasting Network, we have gathered, will pick programmes from Angel 96.1FM – Kumasi: ‘Angel In the morning’ hosted by Kwame Tanko and Angel Sports shows by Summer on live TV in the coming days.
The ONEHD TV acquisition is the group’s 5th major takeover in the media industry in the Ashanti Region; it operates other channels in other regions of Ghana.
The Angel Broadcasting Network has Samuel Kofi Acheampong as its Chief Executive Officer. It also operates Accra based Angel TV, digital television station as well as a good number of commercial radio including: Angel FM, Holy FM and Pure FM in Kumasi, Angel FM and Angel TV in Accra, Angel FM and Cheers FM in Sunyani , OFM in Obuasi, Angel FM in Takoradi , Angel FM and Cheers FM in Takoradi, Darling Fm in Cape Coast , KFM in Techiman, Angel FM and Cheers FM and Angel FM in Tamale and Taste FM in Koforidua.
Dr. Kwaku Oteng is also the owner of conglomerates of businesses including Adonko Bitters, Adonko Hand Sanitizers, Adonko Energy Drink, Plus 2 pub, Angel TV, Angel Educational Complex, Angel Estate and Construction firm, Angel herbal products, Angel transport and trading and many other.
