Popular broadcast sports journalist George Akwasi Amankwah Marfo known on radio as ‘Spanky’ or’ Spanky Tee’ is dead.
The CEO of Spanky Institute of Journalism, who has been unwell for the past weeks died Friday morning.
The cause of his death is yet to be made public by the family.
A teacher by profession, the seasoned sports host and commentator worked with Radio Biyak, Peace FM, Kapital Radio, Luv FM, Hello FM, Breeze FM, Time FM (Obuasi), Safoa TV and until his death he was with Bosome FM (Akim Swedru).
The former PPP Parliamentary Candidate really established himself as one of the best commentators in the country by his famous appellation style of sports commentary which was unique.
