This website can extensively reveal that one of Ghana’s fastest-growing media group, Media General is set to land an entirely new sports team for its Kumasi-based subsidiary, Akoma FM in the coming days.
Sources have hinted that Media General officials are doing everything possible to pluck these sports crew to its fold.
According to close sources, an agreement has therefore been reached in principle between these two parties although no contracts have been signed.
Talks between the new sports team and Media General are reported to have reached advanced stages and a deal would soon be sealed.
The yet-to-be-unveiled AKOMA SPORTS team, we hear has very formidable and outstanding sports broadcast journalists namely Richard Sah Acheampong (best known as Richardo Suarez Pepe), Sammy Acheampong, Capo De Supremo, Stephen Boadi, Duah Hasler, Andrews Akwaboah De-Legend, Emmanuel Owusu (affectionately known Promzy) – (all formerly of Kumasi FM) as well as Raph Sarkodie (formerly of Ultimate FM/Akoma FM), promises to give cherished listeners of Akoma 87.9FM nothing but the best.
The highly-anticipated sports show, AKOMA SPORTS is expected to officially take off in grand style on Monday November 1, 2021.
Source has it that the new sports team comes off with its MORNING SPORTS SHOW (7.00AM – 7.30AM) and its MAIN SPORTS SHOW (3PM – 6PM) running from Monday to Friday.
Its WEEKEND SPORTS SHOW on Saturdays will be a three-hour programme between the hours of 6AM and 9AM.
