Popular news anchor Akua Nyarko Abronoma has left her job at Sunyani-based Ark FM, www.mediafillasgh.com can confirm.
Akua Nyarko Abronoma now joins SOMPA 98.9FM, a subsidiary of the TeraONE Media Group based in the Bono Regional capital, Sunyani.
She begun her professional journalism journey at the first private radio station in Ashanti region, Otec 102.9FM in Kumasi in 2012 as a reporter.
In 2014, she had the opportunity to work with Time FM (now at Offinso) at Akomadan in the Offinso North as a news anchor, announcer and front desk secretary.
Another opportunity was given her by the Chief Executive Officer of Frank Media Limited where she served on the following radio stations: Sompa FM at Cape Coast, Dinpa and Abapa FM (all in Sunyani), Adepa FM (Techiman) and Duapa FM (Kintampo). At the media conglomerates, she worked as a reporter, news anchor and morning show hostess for 6 years.
Ark FM in Sunyani needed her dedicated and selfless service so she had to consider their numerous calls on her despite rejecting them earlier.
She joined ARK FM from November 2021 but the newest and biggest brand of the Bono region, TeraOne Media, owners of Sompa FM and Sompa TV could not sit aloof whiles she give all her best but not on their reputable networks. She was therefore porched with favourable terms, contract and a more serene working environment.
Though difficult for her to quit, after series of prayers and broader consultations with other Senior colleagues in the radio profession here in Sunyani and Kumasi, she ended her service with Ark FM on June 3, 2022.
All the Best, Akua Nyarko Abronoma.
