Astute sports broadcaster Juliet Bawuah has won the journalist of the year at the 47th Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) awards.
The event took place on Saturday, January 28 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The award is held annually to honour distinguished Ghanaian sportsmen and sportswomen.
Juliet said after the event that “This adds to the sports journalist the year award I won at the Ghana Journalists Association Awards in November.
Juliet has carved out a niche for herself as an astute broadcast journalist in the area of sports reporting.
During the recent World Cup tournament in Qatar, she created Digital content around Team Ghana for the world football governing body FIFA and global Host broadcasters.
Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus received the Sports Personality of the Year award at the 47th Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards ceremony.
Recognizing the accomplishments of Ghanaian athletes and sports figures, the event took place at the Accra International Conference Center on Saturday night.
The 22-year-old was named the overall winner at the event, beating out other top athletes in the country.
He was honored for his outstanding performances for both his club, Ajax, and the national team in 2022.
