MzGee is currently the host of arguably the biggest entertainment review show on TV in Ghana now which airs on Despite Media’s UTV.
Well, her rise to become the host of the show is one that was not as rosy as it appears.
In an exclusive interview, she granted Abeiku Santana on Okay FM’s drivetime show on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, MzGee revealed for the first time how she was flatly rejected by Fadda Dickson as a presenter for Despite Media back in 2021.
She revealed that at the time, she and other colleagues from JoyNews had gone to Despite Media to deliver a plaque to Fadda Dickson.
Upon their arrival, Abeiku Santana spoke highly of her to Fadda Dickson and even asked that he considers hiring her to work for Despite Media.
According to MzGee, Fadda at that time, showed no interest in her simply because she wasn’t articulate in the Akan language.
In her own words, MzGee said:
“Years ago, I came here with Don and Capito. We were going to present a plaque to Fadda Dickson upstairs. Cast your mind back in 2021, when we got upstairs and you did the introduction, what did you say? Do you remember? That was my first time of meeting Fadda Dickson. After giving me accolades, you asked Fadda whether he will employ me and he said he doesn’t like any English-speaking shenanigans in the company. He said I should stay in my English field. Fadda did not accept me in 2021.”
