One of the top media personalities in Ghana, Andy Dosty, has disclosed how his work with Multimedia started.
In a post, he recalled being invited by Kojo Preko Dankwa to guest-host Adom FM’s drive.
According to him, the listeners were happy about what he did, so they wanted him to stay.
The invitation, Dosty, divulged was in 2012—a year after he successfully hosted Graphic Showbiz On Tv, a program created for him by Abraham Ohene-Djan, following his return to Ghana from abroad.
He revealed Okyeame Kwame was the one who advised him to return.
Later, Andy Dosty said he got another call from the Human Resources Department of Multimedia.
His work with Multimedia began after meeting with the authorities there-and they created a show for him at Hitz FM.
He is marking his 10th year at the media firm.

In 2012 I decided to leave America as advised by Okyeame Kwame to come back home so I don’t lose my popularity (even in Kumasi) due to my long absence. Abraham Ohene-Djan (CEO, OM studios) created a TV show and me host, themed Graphic Showbiz On Tv which was an audiovisual version of the newspaper; syndicated on almost all Tv stations.
Although successful, the show ran for just a year due to certain circumstances (I’ll share that later).
In December 2012, Kojo Precko Dankwah invited me to guest-host Adom Fm’s drive-time show “OFIE KWAN SO”. At the tail end of the show, about 99% of the listeners were asking me to stay as they phoned in.
Few weeks later i was invited AGAIN but by the Human Resources Department. We concluded that I would host the show BUT NO for two reasons thus
- Per their structure I was expected to present effectively in Twi but my pronouncements were predominantly in English (aaahhh Asante nii ba paaa ne Abrofos3m)
2. Jerry justice had began hosting the show and was doing very well as displayed by their “barometer” popularly known as the Tracker.
They quickly arranged for me to start a 2 hour show on Hitz 103.9 FM dubbed EASY LISTENING from 1-3pm on 1st April 2013.
I remember some few words in my opening presentation, “THIS IS THE FIRST PAGE OF A NEW CHAPTER OF A NEW STORYBOOK”.
Glory to God it’s been 10 years of indeed a new chapter.
I celebrate ME and MYSELF for all the hard work. I work SO HARD, I mean SO HARD to keep me going. I doubt if there’s ANY other presenter or DJ that works on HITZ FM, JOY FM, ADOM FM and on TV and has his/her own business (aside). Sometimes I get too scared and worried but hey……NO PAIN, NO GAIN.
