Angel Broadcasting Network’s Kumasi-based Angel 96.1FM Sports Show has for a fourth successive time been adjudged as the Best Sports Programme in Ghana.
The Abrepo junction based station won the 2015/2016, 2016/2017, 2017/2018, Radio Sports Station in Ghana in the previous editions of the Radio and Television Programs Awards (RTP Awards) and has once again been adjudged as the best Radio Sport’s Station in the 2018/2019 edition of the RTP Awards.
The sports team consists of Michael Ashley Darko – Don Summer One (Head of Sports, Angel Broadcasting Network) , Kelvin Nana Asumadu, Kwame Dela (De Fishbone), Kennedy Amoako (Fancy Di Maria), Newton Lartey (Video Analyst), Felix Boakye Agyemang (Quality), Kofi Owusu Jerry and Da Vinci – The Lord of Tennis (now with Angel FM-Accra), Emmanuel Mawuko Doe, Jeffrey Amoah (Sunzu), Oscar Anane Appau(Puncher), Steve Kwaku Wonder, Kwame Tawiah (OKT Ranking), Mr. Jonathan Abbey Pobee as well as its team of able producers: Kwame Cuppa, Izay Man, Gideon Poat etc.
Commenting on the success of the program, Micheal Darko (@Donsummerone), Head of Sports for the station acknowledged the collective effort of his team and support from the ABN Ghana staff as a key reason for the continuous topping of Sports program charts in the country.
“We work as a family in this broadcasting network. Everyone comes on board and direct us on what should be done to enhance our output and professionalism. I have a selfless team who work very hard for us to be number one. This is the main reason behind our success.” Summer stated.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Samuel Acheampong (Bronzy) in a short congratulatory message thanked the Staff for their selfless dedication and urged them on to continue to deliver. “Congrats team. We are ABN Ghana.” He said in a post.
