Angel FM has been ranked number one as far as the 2019-2020 Ghana Premier League radio coverage is concern, an African Sports Centre for Data, Research and Technology (ASC) survey has revealed.
In the 2019 Ghana Premier League Report released last week, the Angel Broadcasting Network owned radio station tops the list having been chosen by 23 percent of respondents in the upcoming season which commences on Sunday.
Angel FM just pipped Kumasi-based radio station Kessben FM to the top spot by 2%.
There was a tie between two Accra-based radio stations (both owned by Multimedia Group) Asempa FM and Adom FM for the third position.
Another Multimedia Group radio station based in Kumasi, Nhyira FM came fifth with 15%, while Accra-based Citi FM placed sixth with 13%.
Peace FM, Atinka FM, Joy FM, Hello FM Happy FM, Oyerepa FM,Kasapa FM, Luv FM, 3FM, Oman FM, Radio Gold, Onua FM,Silver FM and Starr FM in that order, complete the top 20.
Meanwhile, GTV/GTV Sports Plus toppled all television stations as far the Ghana Premier League television coverage is concern having as high as 56 percent of the Respondents. Angel Tv came second with 16 percent whilst Startimes follows with 14 percent.
Supersport(DSTV) and TV3 came forth and fifth respectively. Kwese TV, Joy Prime/Joy News, GHOne TV, Metro TV and Adom TV, in that order complete the top 10.
Stations that were not captured in the list had less than 1%.
The ASC Ghana Premier League Report is a research document with insights into consumer/fan behaviour about the Ghana Premier league in relation to revenue opportunities and possibilities. It focuses on Interest and Awareness, Patronage and Consumption and Commerce.
The overall survey, with a sample size of 3000 participants, was conducted in Ghana between October and November. Data was collected in every district in all administrative regions of Ghana.
