Broadcasters Naa Ashorkor and Nathaniel Attoh will host the fifth Exclusive Man of the Year (EMY) Awards July 4.
The ceremony which aims at recognising the efforts of deserving men across a number of categories including entertainment, communication, and sport has previously rewarded esteemed names like National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, Hollywood actor Boris Kodjoe, and highlife doyen, Amakye Dede.
Rapper Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, comedian Clemento Suarez, and filmmaker Peter Sedufia are up for the “Man of the Year Entertainment” award. In the area of sports, Black Stars coach CK Akunor, soccer stars Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, and boxer Wasiru Mohamed have all been named as nominees.
Meanwhile, Giovani Caleb who won the PV Ansah Communicator gong last year, looks to hold on to that accolade. To do that, he must fend off competition from blogger Zionfelix Adomako and OAP George Addo Jnr.
This year, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will hold virtually, showing on Joy Prime and Joy News at 8 pm. It also streams luve across all EMY Africa social media platforms.
