Obuasi-born Morning Show Host of Nkwantananso on Opemsuo 104.7 Fm, George Opoku Mensah otherwise known as ‘Agudey’, has heaped enormous praise on the Leaders of Otumfuo Charity Foundation for recognizing Obuasi in their operations.
The Charity Foundation today will make donations to students in and around Obuasi to facilitate academic excellence of the pupils amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Otumfuo Charity Foundation has empowered many people, setting them up for a better standard of living. The foundation was borne out of the need to do more to help people stand on their own in the Ashanti Kingdom and beyond. Its Patron and Founder, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has immensely supported the foundation which is in its 10th year running. With initiatives like the Yiedie Program, Otumfuo Education Fund, The Otumfuo Teachers’ Awards, the foundation continues to make impact all across the country.
Speaking about the development in an exclusive interview with Opemsuo.com, shrewd Agudey revealed that, “The move to donate to people of Obuasi especially the students is very thoughtful and apt from Otumfuo’s Charity Foundation. I can’t imagine the joy that will engulf the pupils.”
“The move, I think, will go a long way to inspire the students knowing that Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has got an eye on them. This is brilliant, and I am extremely excited especially as someone who was born and bred in Obuasi,” he concluded.
The Foundation has been extremely busy donating literature books like ‘Cockcrow’, and Oxford Dictionary of Current English.
