Peace FM, an Accra-based radio station and a subsidiary of the Despite Media Group, is making a passionate appeal to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to return to the Kokrokoo Show.
The biggest opposition party, NDC notified its communicators, media monitors, and officials that the party has boycotted Peace FM’s Kokrokoo hosted by Kwame Sefa Kayi effective, Wednesday, 6 May 2020.
In a statement signed by Fadda Dickson, the Managing Director of the station, the NDC as a party is being urged to rescind their boycott decision.
The statement added that Peace FM, since its establishment, has worked together with all political parties including the NDC for mutual growth and benefit.
In a nutshell, the station is asking the NDC to return to the flagship morning show ‘Kokrokoo’ which is hosted by the ace broadcaster Kwami Sefa Kayi.
This statement comes in response to an earlier post bt Sammy Gyamfi, the Communication Officer of the NDC, who announced the party’s perpetual boycott from Peace FM due to poor reception and what they describe as unfair panelling.
According to them, since the inception of the station I 1999, they have mutually beneficial relationship with all political parties including the NDC.
Therefore they urged the NDC to let sleeping dogs lie and allow peace to reign between both parties and return to the Kokrokoo show.

APPEARANCE OF NDC ON THE KOKROKOO SHOW OF PEACE FM
Management of Peace FM the mother station of Despite Media wishes to state that we are not at loggerheads with the NDC.
Since the inception of Peace FM on May 25, 1999, we have had mutually beneficial relationship with all political parties including the NDC.
However in recent times there has been a misunderstanding between us and the NDC in relation to the paneling of the discussion segment of the Kokrokoo Show.
Management of Despite Media acknowledges responsibility for whatever misunderstanding that has been between us and the NDC in recent times.
We therefore urge the NDC to let sleeping dogs lie and allow harmony to reign and return to the Kokrokoo Show.
As agents and stakeholders of development, we may agree to disagree all for the sake of Ghana our motherland.
We count on a mutually favourable acknowledgement.
Thank you
Signed:
Fadda Dickson
(Managing Director)
