A new television production house, Kente TV can now be viewed in Ghana on a digibox or a digital television, Mediafillasgh.com can authoritatively state.
The station on digital platform, is currently running a test transmission , to make way for its official programming.
Kente TV has Mikki Osei Berko (famed Master Richard or otherwise Dada Boat) as the brain behind the new television experience. He also operates Kente Radio, a Pan-African online Radio Station based in the UK.
The new television brand is heavily poised to compete with the existing local space in the country.

Profile of Mikki Osei Berko
Mikki Osei Berko hails from Aburi in the Eastern Region of Ghana and currently resides in the United Kingdom. He was born on the 30th of December 1973.
He is a Ghanaian-born actor perhaps best known for playing the roles of Master Richard in “Taxi Driver” and Dada Boat in “Dada Boat”, both hit television series.
He started as a stage theatre performer, then TV Theatre performer on the National Television and later a Presenter on Radio Universe, the campus radio station of the University of Ghana, Legon. His claim to fame on radio was on Radio Gold when he became the host of the station’s drive time program ‘Agroo.
Mikki Osei Berko worked extensively with Radio Gold from 1997 to until 2003 when he decided to move on.
He then moved to join Happy FM in July 2003 as the Programs Director and morning show host on Happy FM. He later presented the morning show on Kessben FM in Kumasi and doubled as the Group Business Manager for Kessben group of companies. He is the brain behind Kente Radio, a Pan-African online Radio Station based in the UK.
He holds an English FA 2010/2011 UEFA B Football coaching certificate. He featured as Master Richard in ever popular Taxi Driver series and has produced and directed some wonderful films like; ”Agony of love , ‘Cross My Heart’, ‘Recipe For Disaster’, ‘Cindy’, ‘My Love Accra’ and other yet to be released movies. He has acted in over 56 other movies and still counting.
He produced and directed the hit Television comedy series ‘Dada Boat’ and ‘Campus Icon’ both showing now on Multi Choice (South Africa). He has also produced and directed a number of TV commercials and music videos. He also served as the Assemblyman for the Ayidiki electoral area for one term from 2002 – 2006, and is also the Executive Director of Media Gold Productions in Ghana.
