DJ Candy Man, known in private life as Alex Kwaku Amoah, has this month hit a 23-year milestone in the media industry.
This means that he has been one of the most-loved radio presenters after entertaining listeners for the past 23 years.
The Former Atinka FM‘s drive time host, who has worked with a number of radio stations such as Radio Lynk 99.5 – Kumasi Polytechnic campus radio, Shalom radio 100.3 – Brekum, Fox FM 97.9 – Kumasi, Hello FM 102.1 – Kumasi and Rainbow radio 87.5 – Accra, expressed his gratitude to God for His protection and guidance in the course of his career as a broadcaster.
He is currently on service with the newly established Accra-based radio station, Asaase radio 99. 5.
DJ Candy Man has over the years proved to be one of Ghana’s untouchable talents and has played in a number of night clubs.
In his entire radio career, spanning over two decades, Candy Man has train many radio presenters and DJs who are making a lot of impact on the music scene.
For the past 22 years, the presenter, who has won the hearts of many radio listeners in Accra and Kumasi with his creative style of play and presentation, has worked diligently as a radio broadcaster.
“It has not been an easy journey, 23 years in the radio industry—I have gone through a lot. I am happy to be counted among the successful radio presenters in Ghana today,” he told BEATWAVES in a chat.
According to him, “Anytime I am on air, I keep listeners enthralled and entertained throughout my show. I always try to create something new anytime I am on the radio to satisfy my listeners.”
“I am thanking God for how far He has brought me and I am very grateful to him. I thank my friends who have been there for me all this while. I never had it easy when I started,” he added.
