The family of the late Ghanaian Highlife legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has announced a change in venue for his One-Week Observation.
The ceremony, which is scheduled for Saturday, August 30, 2025, will now take place at the Black Star Square (Independence Square) in Accra, instead of the previously announced location.
In a statement, the family apologized for any inconvenience the change may cause and expressed their gratitude to friends, fans, and well-wishers for their continued support as they prepare to honor the life and legacy of the celebrated musician.
The decision was necessitated by the ban on noisemaking and funeral-related activities currently in force in the La Traditional Area, which covers the Legon enclave. The ban, which took effect on Monday, August 11, 2025, prohibits funerals and related observances and will remain in place until September 5, 2025.
