Jay Foley, MzGee, Lerny Lomotey, C-Real Heading to 3Music TV

The media outfit which has since August 2021 gone live with carefully curated music playlists targeting Gen Z and millennials is set to officially launch somewhere in September 2022.

However, ahead of its launch, Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture & Urban Entertainment – www.nydjlive.com gathers that some of the finest brains in the media space including Jay Foley, MzGee, and C Real are set to join the station.

The three who have served in various positions in the creative space are set to host 3 Music TV’s flagship breakfast show called Culture Daily.

It is immediately unknown the direction the station’s flagship morning show will take. However, one would not be far from right in thinking that Culture Daily would be about music, entertainment and lifestyle considering back of the personalities.

We also gather that makeup artist, digital content creator and production executive Lerny Lomotey will join the show.

What would you expect from such a trio?

Jay Foley

A stalwart in the Ghanaian creative arts space and well respected across Africa, Jay Foley has “been there and done that.” He comes on board with a wealth of experience having served in various capacities.

Aside from running his own production company, The Radio Adversiting People (T.R.AP), Jay Foley worked with 4 Syte TV,  Y107.9FM, and Live FM.

Until recently, Jay Foley was the co-host of ‘Prime Morning’, a breakfast show on Joy Prime TV.

MzGee

Born Gloria Akpene Nyarku-Acquah, MzGee as she is affectionately called has been in the media space for a while. Formerly a staff of The Multimedia Group where she played several roles including hosting Day Break on Hitz FM, MzGee switched carpets to Media Generale in 2019.

At Media Generale, MzGee served as the host of Show Buzz.

She was also a presenter and producer on 3FM.

Bervlyn Lerny Lomotey

With a knack for beauty, being in front of the camera and talking, the ever bubbly Bervlyn Lerny Lomotey wears many hats.

The television presenter who is also a makeup artist, digital content creator and production executive is focused on curating and creating quality and engaging digital content which aims to inform, entertain and educate.

Lerny has in the past worked in various capacities with media outfits including Live FM and Oceans TV.

C Real

Winner of the Ghanaian edition of Channel O Sprite Emcee Africa in 2019, Cyril-Alex Gockel also known as C Real has over the years grown from a rap artist, poet and record producer with an enviable catalogue to an entrepreneur calling the shots on many fronts.

C Real is the CEO of MixDown Studios and Pulse Communications. He is also the head of marketing at OG Farms and an avid public speaker.

Kwesi Parker-Wilson Quits Multimedia | Joins Oyerepa TV

Popular broadcast journalist Kwesi Parker Wilson has left his job at Multimedia Group, Joy FM and Joy News, www.mediafillasgh.com can confirm.

He joins Oyerepa TV under the Promise Broadcasting Limited in Kumasi.

The renowned journalist would be hosting Oyerepa TV’s morning show dubbed ‘Oyerepa Breakfast Time’ alongside Akua Asieduaa and Oduefour Nana Asabre.

He however replaces Bismark Brown (BB) who left the media brand few weeks ago to pursue other interest in the capital.

Before joining Promise Broadcasting Limited, Parker was a parliamentary correspondent for Joy FM and Joy News on Multi TV. He has being in the  media for the past ten years.

CONFIRMED! Abou Diaby Resigns from Wontumi FM | Guess His Next Stop?

Outstanding media sports personality Abou Diaby (Known in real life as Abeiku Dadson) has officially resigned from Wontumi FM/TV, www.mediafillasgh.com can authoritatively state.

The popular Kumasi-based broadcast sports journalist in a facebook post Monday night made this announcement on his official social media page.

He wrote:

My time, since working at Wontumi media, from the 8th of June 2020 till now, has been the most wonderful and most importantly, the most impactful moment in my life as a journalist.
I therefore say a very big thank you to the head of management (esp. Chairman Antwi Bosiako, Wontumi), my co-workers and the entire Wontumi media family – including our most cherished and revered audience.
As I say goodbye to this wonderful family, I hope this bond that we’ve been established for ourselves continues and even become more effective than it used to be.
And also I hope and pray that the media will continue to thrive from grace to grace.

GhOne TV’s Ms Nancy joins Media General

Ghanaian radio and television presenter, Nancy Adobea Anane (popularly known as Ms Nancy) has joined Media General from May 2022. The host of Duvet, the sex and relationship show on GHOne TV is joining Media General after a long service with EIB Network.

Confirming the move by Ms Nancy to Media General, the General Manager of 3 Group (TV3 and 3FM), Mr. Francis Doku said they were happy to have Ms. Nancy joining them and believe that she would contribute her best to the stations.

Ms Nancy brings to Media General, over 20 years years of experience in news reporting, news reading and presentation on both radio and television says she is very happy of join the Media General group on her journey as a broadcaster.

She commenced her broadcast career with Kumasi-based Invisible FM (now Nhyira FM) and continued to Nkosuo FM, Luv FM, Ultimate FM, all in Kumasi. She joined EIB Netowrk when the latter acquired Ultimate FM as part of the group and was later transferred to Accra to work with GhOne TV.

Aside being the host of Duvet, Ms Nancy also served as as head of Wardrobe and Makeup for GhOne TV. She expresses her elation at joining the nation’s lead broadcaster to further improve her growth and development as a broadcaster.

“As a career journalist and broadcaster, I have taken every opportunity I have had to improve myself to be the best in what I do and over the years I have done that at all the places I have been and believe that I will even do more with this next chapter in my career,” Ms Nancy said.

“I look forward to having a great time at Media General and to improve myself in the process.”

Kwaku Dawuro Leaves Kingdom FM for Wontumi FM

Popular morning show host of Accra-based Kingdom FM, Kwaku Dawuro has immediately called it quit at Unique Communications Limited, www.mediafillasgh.com can authoritatively state.

Dawuro now joins Accra-based Wontumi FM and Movement TV, subsidiaries of the Wontumi Communications owned by Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Ruling New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (affectionately known as Chairman Wontumi).

Kwaku Dawuro currently co-hosts the morning show with Oheneba Nana Asiedu and would tentatively be the full time host of the show in the next coming weeks.

Previously, Dawuro worked with Eastern FM (Koforidua), EMAK FM (Koforidua), Kingdom FM (Koforidua) before heading to Kingdom FM Accra).

‘The Delay Show’ Back On TV3

The Multiple Award-winning talkshow, ‘The Delay Show’ has returned to TV3 after it left the media brand nine years ago, www.mediafillasgh.com can authoritatively state.

Hosted by Deloris Frimpong-Manso, the show has had a consistent run for about 12 years. It premiered on TV3, later aired on Viasat 1 Television (now Kwese TV) and was moved to GHone TV in 2017.

Bright Nana Amfoh Joins Metro TV

A former journalist with Media General, Bright Nana Amfoh, has joined Metro TV as a Senior News Editor.

This was made known in a post shared by Bridget Otoo, who is a former colleague of the veteran journalist, and now host of Metro TV’s evening news.

“Reunited with my friend, colleague and now Boss… Bright Nana Amfo, You are a great asset and I’m happy to do this with you. #TeamMetro #NewsEditor,” she wrote on Facebook.

While at TV3, Bright Amfo was among other things, the host of Hot issues, hosted all the news programs on the channel, and worked in several editorial positions.

Before leaving TV3, he was the assignment editor at Media General (TV3 Network Ltd, ONUA TV and FM, CONNECT FM, AKOMA FM, and 3NEWS). He also hosted a number of current affairs programmes such as Hot Issues and Business Today.

In the course of his over 20-year career as a journalist and broadcaster, he worked in various capacities as a reporter, news anchor and head of news production and worked voluntarily for the University of Ghana radio station, Radio Universe.

He is a CNN Journalism Fellow, with a broad range of experience in broadcast journalism and production.

In the course of his work, he has gathered extensive knowledge of rural Ghana whilst in charge of the rural and development desk.

This led him to becoming the Deputy Assignments Manager at TV3 and assignment editor with the responsibility of coordinating news crew on the ground and in various locations, and also coordinating regional correspondents and stringers.

He has also covered stories in several different countries such as Nigeria, Liberia and Sierra Leone, and was in South Africa for the whole period of the FIFA World Cup in 2010.

Bright Nana Amfoh holds a degree from the University of Ghana and is currently pursuing a law degree.

Di Asa’s Odifour Quits Atinka Media Village

Veteran media personality Odifour of ‘Di Asa’ fame (Known in real life as Albert Johnson) has said goodbye to the Atinka Media Village, www.mediafillasgh.com has discovered.

Odifour therefore leaves the media brand as the co-host of Di Asa on Atinka TV.
