According to the source, FS went to hospital in the morning but returned home and died in his sleep.
Mr. Sasu, whose journalism career spanned over four decades, died at his residence at Amasaman on Wednesday afternoon hours after visiting the hospital for a checkup.
A family delegation led by the late Sasu ’s junior brother,  Edmund Sasu,  on Wednesday evening officially informed management and staff of Atinka Media Village about the demise of their beloved son.

Managing Director of Atinka Media Village, Albert Dwumfour, on behalf of management and staff, extended the company’s condolences to the family, adding that the day had been a sad one for Atinka Media Village as well as the inky fraternity.
“Everybody here is sad and heartbroken because of this bad news,” he said.
He extolled the late Mr. Sasu’s hard work and his commitment towards work and that despite his age and wealth of experience, he had respect for all.
Mr. Dwumfour, however, said even though Mr. Sasu’s demise was a huge loss to the family and the inky fraternity, “we should be consoled by the fact that Mr. Sasu impacted many lives on earth particularly, young journalists”
“Though we are mourning, we take consolation from the word of God that it is appointed unto men to die once, and after death judgment and in John 11:25 which says Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying,”Mr Dwumfuor quoted from scriptures.
He asked the Lord to keep his soul and also protect and preserve the widow and the family in these “trying moments”.
Mr. Dwumfour, who is also the Organising Secretary for the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) gave the assurance that the company will do everything possible to assist the family to give the late news editor a befitting funeral.
